The Southland Association Board has endorsed The Lexington Business Recycling Program and encourages all businesses in the Southland area to participate.
LFUCG and Bluegrass PRIDE is proud to announce the Lexington Business Recycling Program called Business WasteBusters. This program encourages local businesses to recycle. It is free of charge and it will include a personal visit to your business site to help you start recycling, or expand what you are doing, and figure out some of the logistics.

Be a WasteBusters Business: Business Recycling Program
Fayette County businesses interested in starting a recycling program or expanding an existing one
Participating businesses
will receive:
Personal visit and assistance on how to get the program started
Help with assessing specific issues or needs
Waste audit, if needed
Materials to promote recycling, such as signs with information of what can and can’t be recycled
Window sign or decal identifying them as a WasteBuster Business
Recognition through media and at LFUCG council meeting
Certificate of recognition from the Mayor
Inclusion in Bluegrass PRIDE website with business logo and link to business own website
Newsletter with information and tips on recycling and reducing waste, updates…
will benefit by:
Reducing solid waste disposal fees
Receive free recycling bins and free pick up service
Recognition
Publicity
will be expected to:
Participate and increase recycling efforts
Train and encourage employees to participate
Sign a participation pledge card
Possibly incur small expenses, such as purchasing of small desk recycling bins
